MK attended the World Natural Hair Show, September 11th, 2011. This year the hair show’s attendance was much smaller than last Springs. But we still managed to make the most of it. Ebonyknots missed out on last Spring’s hair show. She was out of pocket having her precious twins, affectionately known as….Tinka and Dinka! lol We brought along the twins as well.
We noticed the obvious difference in the vendors and brands showcased in the Exhibit Hall this season. There were more jewelry and clothing vendors than hair care brands. I had a chance to ask about this when I came across one of Taliah Waajid’s staff members. He informed us that the Fall hair show will be focused on “Fashion”, hence the huge Fashion show they had this time around. The Spring hair show will showcase more hair brands and natural hair focused vendors. This explanation brought forth a better understanding as to why this show so “different’ and lacking in the “natural hair” basis. It also made us even more excited about attending next Springs natural hair show.
We are looking forward to the Spring 2012 World Natural Hair Show, April 28-29th, 2012! See ya there!
